Terms of service

About the service

Make a letter is a plugin by Jonas Aschenbrenner that helps draft German letters and fill document templates. These terms describe use of the plugin and this information website.

Cost and access

The plugin involves no payments or purchases. Access to a host platform, document converter or connected service may be subject to that provider's separate requirements and terms.

Your letters

Provide information you are entitled to use. Review the completed wording, names, addresses, dates and layout before relying on a letter or sending it. The plugin does not independently verify your facts or send correspondence automatically.

Formatting and output

Output depends on the information supplied, the selected template and the available tools. Editable documents can render differently across office applications. PDF and RTF output require conversion, and plain text does not preserve page geometry.

The template is based on DIN 5008 norms. Make a letter is an independent tool, not a DIN-certified product; use of the template does not establish complete conformity of a finished letter. Drafted wording is not a substitute for professional advice when your situation requires it.

Connected services

Google Docs and other external workflows depend on services that you authorize. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Availability of a particular integration or export format depends on your host and connected tools.

Privacy and support

See the privacy policy for data handling and email retention. For questions, contact jonas.aschenbrenner@gmail.com.

Your rights

These terms do not exclude rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
